BFF

I remember my best childhood friend and I used to spend whole afternoons drawing pictures of ourselves on wonderful adventures - usually featuring fairgrounds, and always under blue skies and yellow sunshine. It was the time just between Enid Blyton's Famous Five and Mister Pink Whistle and my first heroine Nancy Drew. There were fairies in the garden. My toys used to come alive when I slept, just like Naughty Amelia Jane. We still had our Barbies who were living in 2 story-apartments which may have been the bottom two shelves of our wardrobes at one time. Ah, childhood. I get to play with lots of lovely drawings just like the ones I did when I was little and the world always had a yellow sun! This lovely artwork is from Millie's drawing and it's on it's way to Queensland to live happily ever after on her bedroom wall.

Stitches and Craft Show

Image from Stitches and Craft

Planning the weekend To Do List - hmmm, lets see, lots of sewing, lots of cutting and ironing, lots of glueing, lots of knitting, lots of drawing - doesn't look like there's much room left for weekend stuff like breakfast at my favourite weekend breakfast cafe! Oh yes, then there's all that sorting and stacking and organising. My new cupboards have arrived and it's bedlam in the workroom. I'll be lucky to find my projects for all that planned sewing, cutting, ironing, glueing, knitting and drawing. Sigh.

Little Shop of Handmade

Fabulous images from Bec at the gorgeous Little Shop Of Handmade.

What is not to love here! Packed full of yummy goodies, all deliciously handmade in Melbourne, and all fabulously priced below $50. And ... super handy next to a train station which is on my line. Happiness! And ... I can see some goodies made my me - Crayon Chick from Kids With Crayons! Bec is an inspiration and has created a gorgeous space, pop in next time you're on your way to Chaddy, although you may want to cancel those plans once you see the delights on offer!

Still learning the ropes

There's nothing more I can do for the moment, might as well put the kettle on and grab that last bikkie from the bikkie jar. You would think with all the time I've lost this week just playing with my new blog I'd be up and running with full confidence. This is sadly not my forte so thank heavens for the breath of fresh air and delight that is Gigi and Lulu!
