It just takes one image to catch my imagination, in this case it was the gorgeous vintage green fan, to spark a spontaneous burst of mosaic-ing. At midnight. As you do.
Making pictures is my favourite thing in the whole world to do so if you want to know what keeps me inspired then this is it. And it's been ages since I made a mosaic in Flickr. I forgot how much I love it. I carefully curate a collection of images that catch my eye and match my theme. Eee, don't get me started, I could wax lyrical all night and I'll never get to bed.

I totally know that "too tired to go to bed" feeling! Very productive use of the time that should have been spent sleeping... sleep is for the weak!!
